Sohan is one of the dedicated speech pathologists in our East Maitland team. She is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with communication difficulties.
Sohan fosters a warm and empathetic therapy environment, motivating clients to achieve their communication goals. She is passionate about helping clients improve their communication skills, build confidence, and enhance their overall quality of life. Sohan also brings a playful touch to her sessions, using a variety of toys and activities to make each meeting a vibrant and enjoyable experience.
Sohan has completed training in the Hanen - “It Takes Two to Talk” program for parents of young children who have a language delay. Sohan is also certified to use the Sounds-Write program, a phonics approach for teaching students with literacy difficulties. Sohan is continuously seeking professional development opportunities to ensure that she can provide the highest standard of therapy to her clients.
Sohan believes in adopting a client-centred approach to understand what is important to her clients and their families. By taking the time to establish positive relationships, Sohan is able to build rapport and trust. This connection enables Sohan to individualise therapy according to the goals of both the child and family.
Sohan loves all things creative! She likes to spend her free time painting, drawing or even crocheting. Sohan recently finished her first crochet cardigan!
